Apple 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Could Have A More Powerful Processor Than the 4.7-inch Version

Apple iPhone 6

All rumors seem to indicate that the smaller 4.7-inch Apple iPhone 6 will be available before the phablet-sized 5.5-inch model. There’s probably a good reason for that. The larger model will be equipped with faster internals and this would represent users with an option to upgrade their devices. While the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is comparable to the Samsung Galaxy S lineup, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 should compete with the upcoming Galaxy Note 4.

Sources near the supply chain indicate that the 5.5-inch will have more powerful processor with higher clock rate. It’s perfectly possible, because the iPad Mini and iPad Air shares the same processor model, but at different clock rate. The larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 should allow a processor with larger die and more room for major upgrades for GPU and other components.

There’s a possibility that both models are equipped with different types of touch modules, but we don’t know how it would affect these devices in terms of functionality. With luck, we may get additional information about this soon enough. Analysts predict that Apple will unveil the new iPhone models next month and this will represent another major milestone for the mobile industry. Apple regularly sets the standard in the market and Android device manufacturers will typically copy it for models released in the following year.
