Archos Releases Three New Smartphone Models

Archos Smartphones

Archos isn’t a new player in the mobile industry, but it’s far from being one of the big leaders. Until now, the French company has launched an impressive array of mobile devices, including those equipped with Windows Phone operating system. The Cesium 40 is Archos’ first smartphone with Microsoft’s mobile platform and will available for just $99 starting next month.

At this price, the phone is clearly a low-entry model. Details show that the phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and 4-inch display, as well as three rear cases with different colors. The Cesium 40 should compete directly against the affordable Lumia 530.

The Archos 45c Platinum and 50b Platinum are company’s new models on the Android front with the new KitKat operating system. The 45c comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with IPS panel. Other features are 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6592 quad-core processor, 4GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, 2Mp front-facing camera, 8Mp rear-facing camera with flash, 1900mAh battery and dual-SIM slots. The 50b Platinum is a bigger model with 5-inch qHD display and other features are identical to the smaller 45c. The company has also released the 101 Oxygen tablet with 1.5GB of RAM, 10.1 Full HD display, quad-core processor and 16GB internal storage.
