Details of BlackBerry Oslo Revealed

BlackBerry OsloBlackBerry will soon unveil a new Passport-like smartphone and it will be a unique model, compared to others released by the company. Details of BlackBerry Oslo have been leaked a few months ago and renders have showed up online. Overall, the device seems to be similar to the AT&T version of the BlackBerry Passport.

It comes with a square display with 1440 x 1440 resolution and 3-row QWERTY keyboard. There are also Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 3450mAh battery and 13Mp rear-facing camera. It is believed that BlackBerry will announce the Oslo officially on June.

Availability could start in Asian and European countries. However, because the phone doesn’t pack more powerful specs, the launch price could be lower than the BlackBerry Passport’s. The BlackBerry Passport itself is known for its oddball aspect ratio and an original design, despite the rough edges. Overall, BlackBerry Oslo is a modification of the Passport with changes in design. It seems to be curvier all around with more compact plastic frame that fits into our pocket. To be clear, we shouldn’t consider the phone the Passport 2, since we still get all the familiar internals.
