HTC One M8 With Windows Phone 8.1 Gets GSM Certification for Europe

HTC One M8

We heard about the HTC6995LVW a few days ago and it’s believed to be a version of HTC One M8 with Windows Phone 8.1. The phone has been certified for WiFi about one month ago. Now, it appears that the same phone already goes through the certification process of GCF. The filing reveals that the HTC6995LVW supports CDMA, GSM and bands 3, 4, 7 and 13 for FDD LTE. Nothing else is revealed by the filing document other than these limited connectivity details.

Rumors lead us to believe that the Windows Phone 8.1 version of HTC One M8 will be available for around $600 off contract. With a new two-year of contract agreement, it will be available from Verizon for about $199.99. It is said that the certified device comes with Verizon branding on its back, which is unusual because Verizon typically sticks its logo at the front.

A few days ago, HTC sent out invitations for the “One M8 for Windows” event, which will be held in New York on August 19th. Reports claimed that Microsoft Store will start selling the phone on August 21st and it won’t be too long before we know whether it’s true.
