Oppo Releases the U3 with 5.9-inch Display

Oppo U3Oppo latest piece of achievement has landed quite silently and it is called the Oppo U3. The phone is equipped with a large 5.9-inch display and it is among the largest in the company’s portfolio. It clearly dwarves the smaller Oppo R5 and N3. The former is one of the slimmest smartphone devices in the market with 4.85mm thickness.

Its IPS LCD display comes with 1080p screen resolution, which covers 75 percent of the device’s front side. Inside, there is 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 with eight identical cores and 64-bit computing. We also obtain 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 13Mp rear-facing camera with Sony’s IMX124 sensor, 3000mAh battery and 5Mp front-facing camera.

There are a couple of SIM card slots, one nano SIM and another micro SIM. The phablet is 4G LTE-enabled and coats the underlying Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system with the proprietary ColorOS 2.0.1. Oppo adds a ton of extra gesture-based functionality to improve single-handed experience. The VOOC fast-charging technology should charge the phone to about 75 percent for half an hour and the AK4961 dedicated audio-processing chip should provide decent sound capability.
