Samsung Galaxy A7 Will Have 5.5-inch 1080 Display and 64-bit Processor

Samsung Galaxy A7

There have been speculations about a new lineup that’s based on the original metal-clad Samsung Galaxy Alpha. One of the first devices released will be the Samsung Galaxy A7. The phone could be equipped with 5.5-inch display, which puts it in the phablet category. The user agent profile tells us that the device will be called the SM-A700FD. If rumors are confirmed, the phone may have Full HD resolution, which produces 401ppi of pixel density.

It is believed that the Galaxy A7 is powered by a 1.5GHz processor with ARMv8-A architecture. So, it is probably a less powerful 64-bit processor, like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410. At the moment, we know that the new Samsung A lineup will run Android 4.4 KitKat. However, only the Android 5.0 supports full 64-bit functionality. We also heard that the Samsung Galaxy A7 is rather pricey and placed in the mid-range category. It means, the phone will be available between $400 and $500, depending on the hardware specs.

While not everyone will be overly excited with the phone, it is certainly a capable device compared to the company’s earlier model. That said, we will get additional alternatives from Samsung as the company adds an entirely new smartphone lineup in the market.
