Sony Xperia Z4 Receives FCC Certification

Sony Xperia Z4We know that the Communication Ministry in Japan has offered certification for the Sony Xperia Z4. Now, we have confirmation that the phone is also certified in the United States through the FCC. However, the phone passes through the agency’s certification process with limited identification. FCC simply indicates that the phone provides supports for 4G LTE bands 2, 5 and 7. This barely gives away hints about the phone. Latest specs told us that the Xperia Z4 will be available in a couple of variants, one of them with 5.2-inch Quad HD display and a more affordable model with the same display size, but the lower Full HD resolution.

It means the former will offer 565ppi of pixel density and the latter with only 424ppi of pixel density. More sensible users could choose for the Full HD model, because many experts argue that our eyes can no longer distinguish improved sharpness for anything higher than 350ppi.

Both models should be equipped with 2GHz Qualcomm 810 octa-core processor and 64-bit support. In the United States, the Z4 will be equipped with 4GB of RAM; while consumers in Asia and Europe will get the 3GB models. On the back of the phone, there’s a 20.7Mp camera and there’s also a 5Mp selfie camera in the front.
