Apple May Launch iPhone 5S 8GB

Apple iPhone 5SEveryone is eagerly waiting for the new iPhone 6S family, but some older models are actually still quite promising. The iPhone 5S is available in two storage versions, 16GB and 32GB. If more recent reports are to be believed, Apple could be working on a new storage option. But, instead of a more expensive model with 64GB storage, it would be a more affordable one with 8GB storage.

The iPhone 5S is now considered as a mid-range model and the new storage option will allow it to outreach to entry-level users, preferably Android users who want to try an iOS environment for the first time. There’s no word on pricing, but it is suggested that the phone will be somewhat more expensive than the iPhone 5C with 16GB storage. Obviously, users won’t be able to store too many apps and data with the 8GB device, if it ever arrives.

This could be a sensible pricing, considering that the iPhone 5C is the actual entry-level model. Specs-wise, the iPhone 5S is a more powerful model with aluminium build and Touch ID sensor. The iPhone 5C is a less capable model with plastic chassis. The iPhone 5S is equipped with 4-inch Retina display, 1.3GHz dual-core A7 processor, 8Mp camera and 1560mAh battery.
