New Details of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Revealed

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2We spotted the alleged back cover of the Redmi Note 2 back in October and additional images of the phone have appeared recently. We have also heard rumoured hardware specs for the phablet and it is portrayed as being a low-cost beast.

So, what do the newest reports reveal to us?
It appears that the Redmi Note 2 also has the same 5.5-inch display like the original device.

However, it has been bumped up to Full HD resolution, from 720p. It is also equipped with octa-core 64-bit processor, probably MediaTek MT6572 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. 16GB of internal storage is inside, along with 2GB of RAM. The front- and rear-facing cameras weigh in at 5Mp and 13Mp, respectively. It has a rather large 3000mAh battery, which could keep the lights on for one or even two days. MIUI 6 is preinstalled on top of Android 4.4 KitKat.

There would be three storage variants of the phone, 16GB ($165), 32GB ($215), 64GB ($245) and 128GB (no information). It appears that the Redmi Note will be available before January 28th. The image of the device’s rear cover shows a relatively large cutout that’s could accommodate a dual LED flash unit. There could also be a front-facing speaker, which ensures clearer audio when playing music and videos.
