Xiaomi May Release a New Redmi Note Model

Xiaomi-May-ReleaseThe Xiaomi Redmi Note released in 2014 may soon get a successor and it will be the company’s next flagship in the mid-range category. The company has unveiled the Mi Note and its Pro version; so it is a good thing to know that yet another model will be available from the company. In fact, the refreshed Redmi Note has received certification from TENAA in China. However, it appears that the new Redmi Note will be a marginal improvement compared to the original Redmi Note.

TENAA’s documentation should that the new Xiaomi phone will have 4G LTE support and a quad-core processor, probably a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 one. Apart from these, other hardware specs are identical, including 5.5-inch 720p display, 8GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, 13Mp rear-facing camera, LED flash, 5Mp front-facing camera and microSD card slot. The software platform of choice will be Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

Xiaomi priced the original Redmi Note quite aggressively and it is among the reasons for its popularity in the market. We should have no reason to believe that the new 5.5-inch device won’t have the same kind of advantage. However, we could still argue that there are nearly no reasons for current owners of Redmi Note users to make an upgrade.
