Xiaomi Redmi 2S Appears on AnTuTu Benchmark Database

Xiaomi Redmi 2SXiaomi’s newest smartphone model, the Redmi 2S, has recently made an appearance in the AnTuTu benchmarking website. Details revealed should give us an idea of what the device would be like. The Redmi 2S has been certified by TENAA in China, so the Xiaomi phone’s existence is fully confirmed. TENAA is similar to FCC in the United States and the agency reveals in the certification document that the device comes with redesigned capacitive keys, rear-facing speaker grills and LED flash.

AnTuTu’s benchmark database show that the Redmi 2S is equipped with 4.7-inch 720p display; so it is not much different than the Redmi 1S. There are obviously more than a few differences in the interior. The processor is now the 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with 4G LTE and 640bit support.

The new chipset is also equipped with the more improved Adreno 306 GPU, instead of the Adreno 305 GPU on the previous Redmi 1S. The front-facing camera has been slightly bumped to 2Mp from 1.6Mp. However, the rear-facing camera stays the same at 8Mp resolution and it also has 1GB of RAM. The battery capacity is expanded slightly to 2200mAh and it will have the newer Android 4.4.4 KitKat software.
